Varietal Syrah

Syrah is the emblematic grape variety of northern Côtes du Rhône wines such as Côte Rôtie and Hermitage. Very often used in blends with other Languedoc grape varieties, Syrah brings its fruity notes (red and black fruits). In Languedoc, we rarely find the smoky or violet notes of the Syrah of the Côtes du Rhône. Syrah is one of the most planted grape varieties in the world.
