This is a huge vineyard, recognized AOP since 1985, from Narbonne to Carcassonne and spreads towards the Pyrenees. Suffice to say that the character of this wine may be variable depending on the men and the land where it is produced. It is walking that we discover the typicality of Corbières, a mosaic of territories rooted in a past that has profoundly changed the landscape and where man has carved castles (Cathar Queribus and Peyrepertuse) on pilasters rocks
Nature of Soils
Between the Pyrenees and the restless old Massif Central, Corbières has been a very complex geological history explains a wide variety of soils: shale, limestone, sandstone, marl ... This diversity is reflected in the distinction of 11 lands spread throughout the appellation.
